Biography

Markus Schroll has been a research associate and project manager at the TMDT of the University of Wuppertal since October 2020. For more than 30 years, he has been dealing with all issues related to transformation management on an organizational and regional level. On the one hand, he advises small and medium-sized enterprises and leads research and development projects between science and business on a national and European level. On the other hand, he designs and leads innovative model projects on a regional level in which different stakeholders are interconnected in order to jointly secure the competitiveness and attractiveness of the region and the company.

Markus Schroll graduated from the University of Karlsruhe in 1991 with a degree in industrial engineering (majoring in innovation management, computer science, operations research, business administration, economics). He then worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (FhG-ISI) in Karlsruhe. From 1993 to 2001 he worked as project manager and managing director at the Institute for Applied Innovation Research e.V. (iAi) in Bochum, and from 2002-2007 as senior consultant at ARÖW - Gesellschaft für Arbeits-, Reorganisations- und ökologische Wirtschaftsberatung mbH in Duisburg. In 2008 Markus Schroll founded innowise research & consulting GmbH in Duisburg, where he holds the position of managing partner until today.

Mr. Schroll is an active networker in a variety of associations and federations and is co-author and author of more than seventy publications.
