Biography

Monika Gatzke has been a research associate at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Media Technology at the University of Wuppertal since May 2010. She has many years of experience in the conception, management and implementation of ICT-related innovation, consulting and collaborative projects, including NRW state programs, national research projects for the federal government and European projects.

One focus of her activities is strategy and concept development - including implementation in appropriate formats - for research, transfer and consulting projects, as well as the establishment of networks, especially in the field of information and communication technologies.

Monika Gatzke studied at the University of Wuppertal and worked from 1991 as a research assistant, from 1994 as a project manager at the Institute for Economics and Technology e.V. at BUW with the focus: online transactions in consumer goods and services. From 1997 she was head of the online editorial department at FTK - Forschungsinstitut für Telekommunikation in Dortmund, from 1999 head of the Electronic Business department, from 2005 head of the Innovation department. Until April 2010, she served as acting managing director of FTK.
