Klimaresist - Climate-resilient craft businesses through further training and adaptive work organization

SMEs from the construction and finishing trades that mainly perform their work outdoors work together with the project partners to develop solutions for their individual operational challenges as a result of extreme weather conditions and events.
Project content: Extreme weather conditions can lead to increased physical strain and reduced performance among employees when working outdoors. In addition to direct health risks such as skin injuries (sunburn) and cardiovascular problems, the risk of accidents and injuries can also increase depending on the field of activity. Concrete measures should help companies and their employees to successfully adapt to climate change with its increasingly extreme weather events. To this end, digital tools, further training concepts and instruments as well as organizational adjustments are being developed and tested together with SMEs and their employees.
Project approach: In workshops and through surveys and interviews in the companies, the individual operational burdens due to the extreme weather conditions and events are determined and the resulting requirements for specific support services are identified. Based on these results, targeted and needs-oriented qualifications / offers will be developed and implemented in the companies. An app will also be developed as digital support, which will be tested in everyday working life and further developed based on the feedback. The project advisory board, which consists of trade organizations and associations, accompanies and supports the course of the project. If necessary, it can support the solutions for the companies by developing inter-company measures.
