Biography
Mr. Tilgner completed his doctorate in 2022. In his dissertation entitled “Contributions to Quality Assurance in Production Processes through Machine Learning,” he investigated the use of machine learning methods for quality prediction of workpiece arrangements within production machines prior to further processing in downstream production processes. The main research focus of the dissertation is the development of classifiers for the fusion of information from image data of workpieces from different angles, as well as associated methods for interpreting the results of the fusion classifiers. Another research focus is the generation of conditional image pairs.
Mr. Tilgner previously completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in information technology at the University of Wuppertal.
