Anna Katharina Prim, M. Sc.

Subproject coordination

Biography

Anna Katharina Prim has been working at the zdi Center BeST at the University of Wuppertal since March 2025. In the funding project “Strengthening the Brand of the zdi Center BeST,” her focus is on business acquisition, marketing, and developing new strategies for addressing target groups that have been difficult to reach in the past.

She studied geosciences at the University of Münster and wrote her master's thesis on the reconstruction of environmental conditions in the Arctic Ocean.
Her interest in communicating scientific topics led her to work at the natural history museums in Münster and Karlsruhe, where her responsibilities included exhibition design and museum education. In addition to STEM content, education for sustainable development (ESD) always played a central role in her work.

She then went on to lead various environmental and sustainability projects, for example in the Palatinate Forest/Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve and at the European Center for Moors and Climate in Lower Saxony. Most recently, as scientific coordinator, she played a key role in setting up the newly founded Junior University in Mönchengladbach.
