Christian Bitter has been a research assistant at the Chair for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation at the University of Wuppertal since October 2019. His research focuses on the use of machine learning methods in production-related use cases. Mr. Bitter's research focuses on the data-efficient learning of action strategies by combining methods from the fields of reinforcement learning and transfer learning.
Mr. Bitter studied mechatronics in the bachelor's degree program at the TU Darmstadt. Subsequently, Mr. Bitter completed his master's degree in automation engineering at the RWTH University with a focus on robotics and machine learning. His master thesis dealt with the use of artificial intelligence to learn control strategies for industrial robots. Afterwards, Mr. Bitter worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where he developed AI processes in the context of production engineering within the scope of various research and development projects.
