Chair for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation
Univ. Prof. Dr. Ing. Tobias Meisen
Welcome to the TMDT website
With our research we address digital technologies on the one hand as enablers for digital transformation, on the other hand their interplay with economic, organizational and societal aspects. One key point of our research is the networking with other scientific fields in order to do justice to the interdisciplinary interpretation of the topic. We consider it a central task of modern research to make knowledge accessible and promote its comprehensibility for the general public.
Our current research activities address the following topics.
Main research topics
In addition to the technological view, the chair researches the effects of this digital transformation through the Institute for Systems Research in Information, Communication and Media Technology (SIKoM), which is an In-Institute of the School of Electrical, Information and Media Engineering of the University of Wuppertal. The research focus of SIKoM is on the interdisciplinary research on technical, economic and structural aspects of innovation processes, which are influenced by the development of information and communication technologies as well as media technologies. SIKoM pursues an interdisciplinary and interconnected systems research approach, which is why it employs staff with engineering, economic and social science competences as well as from the fields of industrial science and industrial psychology.
Further information about SIKoM can be found here.
