Biography
Tristan Funken has been a research associate at the Institute for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation at the University of Wuppertal since January 2020. In his research, Mr. Funken focuses on the early integration of complex expertise into the data analysis of industrial production processes. To this end, he investigates how knowledge can be extracted from the interaction of domain experts with data and made usable for similar analysis processes.
Mr. Funken studied computer science at the RWTH Aachen University. His areas of specialization were human-computer interaction and software architectures. Subsequently, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where he developed AI methods in a production context on various research and development projects.
