Biography

Katharina Erwig joined the Institute for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation as a research associate in December 2019.

Currently, Katharina Erwig is working in the transformation project TrAIBeR.NRW for the Bergisch region. In this context, the project is developing answers to the comprehensive transformation requirements resulting from the upcoming traffic shift for the automotive supply industry.

Katharina Erwig studied a bachelor's and master's degree in printing and media technology at the University of Wuppertal. After her studies, she worked for more than 10 years as a technical consultant at the Employers' Association of the Print + Media Industry North-West e.V.. During her time at the University of Wuppertal, she contribute(s) to the following research projects:

  • TrAIBeR.NRW: Transformation of the Automotive Industry in the Bergisch Region
  • camo.nrw: Center for Automated Mobility NRW
  • InProD2: Inclusion in production - digital tools to support learning processes in production professions/vocational training
